DODGE CITY, KS — The Ford County Historical Society is proud to announce the 4th Annual Landmark Arts Project, a community initiative that blends local history with the creative talents of Dodge City’s youth. This year’s project focuses on the historic Carnegie Library, built in 1907. The public is invited to a grand Reception and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Carnegie Center for the Arts (701 N 2nd Avenue). The event is free and will feature live music by the DCHS Orchestra Ensemble, followed by an official welcome and student awards presentation.
Supported by the Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas and the Community Facilities Advisory Board, the project provides art supplies to participating schools and offers scholarships to students pursuing further art education at Dodge City Community College.
